Located

    The Pronghorn is located throughout the western United
    States, southwestern Canada and parts of Mexico.

Diet

    The Pronghorn will feed on sagebrush, shrubs, grasses
    and cacti.  The Pronghorn is opportunistic and will eat
    other types of vegetation that are available.

Habitat

    The habitat of the Pronghorn is the deserts, grasslands
    and plains of the western United States, southwestern
    Canada and Mexico.

Size

    Approximate weight of a Pronghorn:
    Average weight is 80 - 150 lbs.  Females typically weigh
    less than males.
    Approximate length of a Pronghorn:
    3.5 - 5 ft.
    Approximate height at shoulder:
    3 - 3.5 ft.

Reproduction

    The gestation or pregnancy period for a female Pronghorn
    lasts 7.5 - 8 months.  At birth, 1 - 2 young will be born
    with the majority of births being twins.
